Thousand mile non-disposable clothing

Open Letter from the President

Welcome to the NEW old Thousand Mile!

My name is Chris Huber, long time customer, loyal fan and now the new owner of Thousand Mile. I would like to welcome you to the NEW old Thousand Mile. I say NEW old to let everyone know I'm committed to getting back to the basics, the roots and the soul of Thousand Mile. To achieve that goal, I have recruited some of the original crew to ensure we keep true to philosophy of the brand. The best part is we all have the stoke that Thousand Mile represents and we're excited about where it's going. Coming to work each day is a thrill and we want to share that enthusiasm with our Thousand Mile family.

Many of you have wondered what happened to Thousand Mile. I noticed that the company made a significant departure from its roots as purveyor of non-disposable clothing, bridging the gap between style, comfort, performance, and durability. Without going into great detail, the previous owner simply did not share the passion for the brand that I and so many of you have. So with the blessing of my wife, a desire to make a difference and with huge a leap of faith, I find myself the new owner of Thousand Mile. Thankfully, I have been able to assemble the best crew I could have hoped for, each with all of the heart and soul this brand deserves.

Not a day goes by without a phone call or email from a customer commenting about how glad they are to find that Thousand Mile is still around. Well, I am happy that we are back and are on the right path once again. Thousand Mile never fully disappeared, but certainly lost it's foothold on the journey. Our focus is to get back to do what we do best.

What Happened to the Retail Stores?
For a variety of reasons, the previous owner closed the stores. This was a disappointment and source of confusion for those Thousand Mile fans who enjoyed making the trip to buy their favorite pant or t-shirt or explore for something new. As we rebuild, we plan to reopen the stores again. We are looking for partnership opportunites across the country; searching for those partners who will understand the Thousand Mile mission and culture and therefore offer you the best shopping experience possible. In the meantime, our website will remain the primary source for Thousand Mile products. We are fully committed to developinig a web experience that is both positive and friendly. I am personally overseeing every aspect of the company to ensure continued growth in a solid, sustaining manner that ultimately yields long term satisfaction from you, our customer.

Thanks to Our Loyal Customers
A special note to our long-time loyal Thousand Mile customers. Your comittment is amazing and inspires me to push Thousand Mile to be the best it can be. Over the past few months I have spoken with many of you who have purchased Thousand Mile apparel for over a decade. Your comments are invaluable and I am grateful for your devotion to both Thousand Mile clothing and the lifestyle. I feel the same way you do and I am particularly committed to making sure we earn your business and uphold the quality and outstanding customer service you expect from Thousand Mile.

The Future
We are following the right trail and the future is bright. There are moments I get impatient, but only because I anticipate all the great things to come. We are lucky to have such amazing and loyal customers. I like to think that we are in this journey together.

Soon, we will be expanding our product offerings. We shall remain committed to our core purpose and clothing ideals. Yesterday's items will be scrutinized, some will require redesign, others will be scrapped altogether. We will apply what we've learned and what we've seen. Most importantly however, we look to our customers for input. At times we will solicit your feedback, but always remember, we want to hear from you. Please drop me a line at chris@thousandmile.com with whatever is on your mind.

I look forward to meeting your apparel needs for many years to come and providing you with the products that are truly Thousand Mile.

Thank you and Best Regards,

Chris Huber
